- WATCH: Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

Having the opportunity to go back to that little town known as Stars Hollows and see what had happened to its characters since we last saw them 9 years ago was kind of magical. Gilmore Girls is a show that has a place in my heart since I watched in my teenage years, so I was beyond excited to find out about this reunion. The sequel consists of four extra long episodes about a whole year in Lorelai and Rory's lives, as well as all the other remarkable people around them. The only thing missing was the presence of Richard Gilmore (sadly, Edward Herrmann passed away a couple of years ago), but apart from that it just captured the essence of the series to make us feel like we were at Luke's drinking coffee and rambling on about life.

- LISTEN: The Lumineers.

I was lucky enough to see The Lumineers live a couple of years ago, but I hadn't payed much attention to them ever since. That changed when they released the music video for Sleep On The Floor, which made me fall in love with their music again. Cleopatra, their second album, is not very different in style from their debut one, as they decided to keep doing indie folk tunes with a lot of storytelling on the lyrics. From Ophelia to Angela to Cleopatra, the band has a magic touch to write beautiful songs that make you wonder who those women are and dream about their stories.

- READ: «May We Be Forgiven» by A. M. Homes.

Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. That quote is known as the Anna Karenina principle, and works as the premise for this novel. It tells the story of what seems like the average American family, but deep down their lives are much more complicated and drama-filled than what it looks. The central character is Harry Silver, a history professor whose speciality is Richard Nixon. After a series of fatal incidents, he sees himself forced to take care of his brother's kids, and the three of them go through a live-changing journey that makes them grow both as individuals and as a family.
