- WATCH: Making a Scene: The Roots of British Style.
British Vogue's YouTube channel has been a complete success in the last year, with viedeos like Alexa Chung's «Future of Fashion». In this new series, two Vogue writers are joined by two GQ editors to trace four current style movements from their roots in UK culture: The Lad, Modern Dandies, New Traditionalists and New Romantics. Each journalist meets designers, experts and fashion icons to find out more about the background of those trends and their place in contemporary fashion. Featuring figures like Miles Kane or J. W. Anderson, you really can't miss this one out.
- LISTEN: Coldplay.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of what's probably the most important British rock band of the century (at least for now). Formed in the heart of London by four students, they achieved worldwide fame in 2000 with that beautiful tune that goes "look at the stars, look how they shine for you...". Two decades later they're still able to write some of the most catchy songs of the music industry and turn each one of them into a hit, while also doing the best collaborations with artist like Beyoncé, Rihanna or Tove Lo. Even if they have been quiet for a while now, I think we will still sing to Viva La Vida for many years to come.
- READ: «The Girl on the Train» by Paula Hawkins.
I very rarely read thrillers and best-sellers, but this one caught my eye when it came out and I decided to give in. Truth be told, I didn't expect it to be a good book, but the story manages to keep you hooked until the very last page (who wouldn't wanna know what really happened that night?). Now that the movie has been released, I can't wait to watch it and see how the beautiful Emily Blunt brings Rachel's character to life. If you liked Gone Girl, you will definitely enjoy this one.
