A little dose of beauty

Choosing the right skin care products for your complexion can be quite difficult giving the wide variety of moisturizers, tonics, masks and cleansers we can find out there (and same goes to make up). That's when travel sizes come in really handy, since they give you the chance to try out a certain product without having to spend a lot of money on something you're unsure will do the trick for you. If you want a little clue about where to start, here's a few products that are worth testing out.

- Pixi Glow Tonic. I don't think there's a more known tonic in the beauty community than this one. Containing ginseng and glycolic acid, it helps tone and tighten the skin to reveal a healthier looking complexion, results that you can see after just a few uses. On top of that, it doesn't contain alcohol so it suits all skin types, even the most delicate ones. If you use this twice a day (always remembering to apply sunscreen) combined with the REN mask a couple of days per week, your skin will glow like no highlighter.

- Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Following the dictates of Korean skin care, I double cleanse my skin every day to remove every bit of make up and pollution and help the rest of my routine sink in better. The first step of that routine is this cleanser, a product made with natural ingredients like beeswax, rosemary essential oil and cocoa butter among others. It can also be used to remove eye make up, so it works wonderfully to take off that first layer of daily grime.

- L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream. Let's be honest, looking after my hands is something that I don't do very often. I tend to find most hand creams really greasy and sticky, which makes me end up washing my hands five minutes after applying them. This L'Occitane one is still rich and hydrating, but it sinks in quite fast, allowing me to keep doing things while not neglecting my poor hands.

- REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. If someone says "radiance mask" I'm the first one to take my purse out and purchase it right away, but this time I decided to think it twice before spending with no control. This mask claims to remove dead skin cells, make skin look brighter and healthier and reduce the appearence of fine lines and wrinkles. My final veredict? Unfortunately for my economy but luckily for my complexion, it really does the job.

- Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil. Filling in your eyebrows can make such a big difference to your face. I didn't start doing this until a couple of months ago, but I have to say that I'm converted now. Benefit brow products have always been a staple in the beauty world, so when I got this pencil in my hands I knew it would become an instant favourite.
