Best of: Resort 2017
Designers know that having to wait six months between the fashion months can be a long time for us fashionistas, so that's why we've got pre-fall and resort collections. These two are the perfect chance to get some inspiration for our current outfits and to start thinking on the upcoming trends at the same time. Let's take a look at what's coming next...
- Chanel. This has been a big year for Cuba, and Chanel saw that like an opportunity to arrange one of their most historical shows up until now. The streets of Havana filled with well-known faces and style while the models started walking in long dresses, masculine shoes and sharp waistes. A collection of wearable outfits that are perfect for a day out exploring the island.
- Escada. Work, work, work, work, work... That's the tune that gets in my mind when I look at Escada's new creations. They have come up with designs that are perfect for the working women out there, making neutral colours, subtle patterns and tough fabrics the stars of the show. Nothing like a subtle and elegant look to bear those long hours at the office.
- Gucci. If there's one brand that's managed to make the most eclectic collections lately, that has to be Gucci. Mixes of crazy patterns, layers on layers and some punk and gothic vibes may not be the most wearable looks, but if you select some pieces here and there you can find some treasures to spice up your closet.
- Oscar de la Renta. The definition of femininity can't be far from these de la Renta's looks. The romantic dresses with asymmetric forms, polka dots and ruffles are perfect to make silhouettes stand out, and the Spanish inspiration that you can sense in some of them makes the collection perfect to inspire us for this summer's outifts.
- Red Valentino. Even tough there wasn't a show to present Valentino's younger line's new bets, you just have to take a look at these pictures to see that they did it again. The spirit of the brand is palpable as always in those thick wool sweaters, floral and leopard prints and brocades. Those were perfectly combined in skirts and dresses, which are definitely the winners in the collection.
