By 11:55

If there's one important date marked in every fashion-lover's calendar, that has to be New York Fashion Week (along with London, Milan and Paris, of course). Every February we get a peak of what's coming for us in the upcoming season, and the best thing is that you can get inspiration for your current outfits. Here's a selection of some of the best bits for you...

- Carolina Herrera. Midi lenghts and pale colours where some of the highlights of Herrera's show. She reinvented the classic 'lady style' by adding embroideries and faux fur to cropped jackets and evening dresses, turning them into contemporary pieces.

- Dennis Basso. Another designer who did good use of faux fur and embroideries is Dennis Basso. His designs were aimed to make women feel glamorous and sultry at nightime events and parties, with long dresses, gloves and sparkly details.

- Marchesa. If you want to feel like a 15th century queen for one night, Marchesa is the right choice. With details like feathers, embroidered flowers and gemstones, their dresses are the visual translation of luxury and elegance.

- Oscar de la Renta. Femininity is the first word that pops into someone's mind when they see De la Renta's designs. Inspired by past decades, Peter Copping managed to mantain the house's essence while creating some chic and wearable outfits.

- Sally LaPointe. For daytime looks you can get inspired by LaPointe's cozy sweaters and pleated skirts combined with a good pair of stilettos. And if you still need to wear an evening look, she's got some pretty special dresses for you as well.
